Sermon Series: Jesus’ Message to the Churches
Sermon Text: Revelation 19:11-16
Sermon Theme
Today is “Christ the King” Sunday. It is the last Sunday in our church calendar and it is an opportunity to remember that Jesus is our Messiah and our Lord. This sermon will take a closer look at Revelation’s depiction of Christ’s second coming as the conquering King. We will investigate what it means to be a Christian living in the time between the inauguration of the Lord’s kingdom on earth and the complete fulfillment of God’s plan for this creation. The hope for the listener of this sermon is that you will have a better appreciation for what the image of a victorious Christ can mean for us today.
