Sermon Series: Jesus’ Message to the Churches
Sermon Text: Revelation 3:1-6
Sermon Theme
In his message to the church at Sardis, Jesus tells the church plainly that they need to wake up. He also tells the church how to do this: to remember what they have received and heard. What precisely is it they are to remember? And why is it essential to do so?
For us today, remembering may mean allowing the work of Christ to become more real to us, healing the memories that hold us in the past. Only this way can we wake up to Christ’s presence among us, live more fully in the present, and have Christ’s assurance for the future.
